Funny restaurant names - 19/12/07 02:23 PM
Okay gang, time for some fun. What's the funniest restaurant name you've ever heard? I've got two nominations.
1. Chinese place in NYC: "BIG WONG"
2. Sportsbar in town I work in: "The Battered Beaver"

Foo King Chinese Kitchen
(212) 307-6701
694 10th Ave,
New York, NY 10019+7108
A local morning show here called this place a few years back and gave the hostess a ration of shit. I about crashed the car I was laughing so hard.
DJ: Is this the Foo King restaurant
Asian chick: Yes
DJ: What are you Foo King Specials?
How late are you Foo King Open?
They just hammer this girl with questions like that until she starts getting pissed off, and she just went off on them.
Before they hung up, they said to her: Noo to Foo King friendly, are you?

Having been to London a few times, I really enjoy the creative Pub names they come up with...
"The Dog and Bacon"
"The Cat's Cock"
"The 13 Cheshire Astley Rifleman Corps Inn"
My personal favorite, "The Last of the Running Footmen" named in honor of the working class who were hired by nobility to run in front of their masters' carriages at night, with a torch, to clear obstacles, etc.

No picture and it is gone now and it's not the restaurant name either. But a sign outside a Kum & Go, had "Get food and Gas"

No fucking way!
A Chinese restaurant just opened up across the street from my house with the same name.
We have all been joking about it since they put up the sign.
"All the girls in the neighborhood love Big Wong's", etc. You get the idea.

Our hotel was across the street from "The Elusive Camel".
Pretty accurate; there were very few camels in London. Thought I saw one in Victoria Station, but it turned out to be an Austrian.
My bad.
