Compress video... - 29/01/05 09:47 AM
I have this 8m Sony video camera, with PIXELA video editing software, which produces a 55 MBs mpeg 2 minutes video file.
How can I compress the video to a smaller size?
I donīt have other video software, so a free version for Windows 2000 pro would be great.

If you can get Window Media Player v2.0 you can import it to there and then export it to whatever video output size you would like.
It is actually a fairly good editor for free, and the variable output.

Quicktime Pro for $30 Gets you
MPEG4 compression - industry standard and one of the better codecs around.

Sorenson Squeeze Yeah, pricey for most...but the compression is amazing.
I dropped a 70MB file down to 5MB and nobody in the office could tell the difference.
