Barnwell or BBQ? - 07/11/04 06:08 PM

Since the Mexico trip is planned for December, what do we wanna do sometime this month?

Anyone up for either a BBQ or a run to Barnwell on the 20th?

Re: Barnwell or BBQ? - 08/11/04 06:34 AM

I would go for a BBQ in Waco on the 20th if Roger would not mind hosting (or finding a park to BBQ at)...

Re: Barnwell or BBQ? - 08/11/04 03:02 PM

I'm pro-BBQ.

D/FW is always my first choice - but I'd be willing to go to Waco to get some more of our southern members involved.

OK, BBQ at my place on the 20th! Price for admission is a donation to our trip to Mexico. You know new toy for the kids or some useful household item like cooking stuff, warm blankets or such. The men also like tools or construction type items.

We could have fun at a BBQ and also do some good!

Re: Barnwell or BBQ? - 12/11/04 01:25 PM

Re: Barnwell or BBQ? - 12/11/04 01:30 PM

Jasun, if ya wanna bring some meat for burgers and/or a couple of packs of dogs that would be cool.

Keith, we are going to be at Roger's house. So, assuming he still has a kitchen, we should have some way to heat up fries. smile

Re: Barnwell or BBQ? - 12/11/04 01:34 PM

oh crap... I'm sorry guys... but I have to back out of the BBQ.

Due to my complete inability to remember dates, I scheduled my concealed handgun class on that day... I'd like to just move the handgun class - but if I don't do it before the holidays start it will just drag on and I want to get it out of the way.

Re: Barnwell or BBQ? - 15/11/04 04:51 PM

OK, so we are actually going to have some people show??? [Wave]

Here are the directions:

1. Exit 315 on I35 this is the Eddy exit Hwy 7 and 107 to Mother Neff's State park and Moody

2. Hwy 107 Heads west towards Moody and Mother Neff's State park you want that.
Right off frontage road if coming south West over the I35 overpass if coming northbound.

3. Drive about a mile through the metropolis of Eddy on Hwy 7 you will pass some right turns on streets into Eddy proper pass them up

4. At about a mile you will see the first right turn, that is past the houses on the right. That is Mackey Ranch Road. TURN RIGHT THERE

5. You will now have about 100 acres of open land on your left and about a dozen mobile homes and houses on your right.

6. Travel about 3/4 miles and there will be the first left, this is your turn on to Hodge Rd. This is Mackey Ranch Subdivision and there is a sign.

7. Travel 1/2 mile or less down Hodge the same open acres are still on your left and have a tree line. My house is the fifth house on the right:
734 Hodge Rd looks for some Nissans smile

I might be late or not be able to make this. I was going to take off one day this week to fix the truck, but it looks like I won't be able to do that..and the truck has got to be tested for the Mexico trip.
