Hole in the intake manifold

Hole in the intake manifold - 24/06/03 09:37 PM

Just discovered a small hole in the intake manifold. It's just to the right of the #1 injector (passenger side, closest to the radiator). Looks like it was made when the threads were cut into the intake manifold for the bolt holding the upper water hose mount to the block. WTF, over?! And , yes, it is a Frontier.

It looks cosmetic and outside the gasket and intake tract.

Yeah, I don't think that hole actually goes anywhere. I certainly wouldn't worry about it, but if Nissan wants to give you a new intake manifold I wouldn't complain either.

If it's not affecting anything, why get a new manifold and deal with the hassle of bringing it in for the service?

Just checked with a trusted service manager. It's just a hole in the webbing and does not effect the manifold. laugh
