may seem a little anal....

i just purchased a black 01 4x4

door jam sticker says 01-2001

i assume this thing came off production less than a month ago.

can i wax this thing now? or should i wait?

You can wax it right now. If you want check out www.meguiars.com that sight will answer most of your questions. I think there are a few threads here too that can answer your questions about waxing. Use the search funcition and you should be able to find out all you need.

Today's modern paint is already treated and ready to go. You may want to wash it with Dawn or something similar to get any wax that might be on it right now from the dealership.

You should definately check out Meguiar's site and get a free paint care perscription, its pretty cool. I use Gold Class paste wax, works really well and looks great
