Changing Front Brake Rotors - 13/09/11 12:27 PM

Has anyone ever changed there front brake rotors? It doesn't look terribly difficult but the only thing that worries me is that according to the owners manual you need a special tool to properly torque down the wheel bearing lock which I don't have. Can't I just tighten it down and make sure there is not any Axial end play? I just don't want to not tighten it enough and it be loose or screw up the bearing. Any thoughts?

Thanks

Do a search on re-packing the front barings, it will have all of the info that you are looking for.

Yes there is a specific tool for the hubs, but you can make one of the four prong hub sockets work, or you can get buy with a punch and hammer.
