Lucas Oil Products - 12/07/03 09:34 PM

Hi everyone,

Aside from the fuel additive, Lucas has little retail representaion here in NJ but I find their products more and more as I travel south, out-of-state. I read into the company and questioned 2 (two) local mechanics (they have never used it but in turn praise it without hesitation...odd). Anyone have a personal opinion to share? BTW I just finished my 30k maintanence today so there is nothing on my mind except fluids. wink

Lucas oil products - that's a new one, on me anyhow. Lucas is famous, or infamous for their electrical components tho. The company is known as "The Prince of Darkness" because their electronics fail - leaving you in darkness.

I have used their fuel system cleaner and I have heard all good responsed about their other products such as their oil additives.
I think it is a different company than the English anti-electrical company. laugh

lucas oil is a very good oil but is sometimes hard to find. I have never used it, but I know in australia it is used everywhere. I have seen it in napa. I always used amsoil, but all the car parts in NJ near me closed and nobody else has it. Mobil 1 synthetic for now.

Holy s**t! [Freak]

Just last night I went to a local Autozone (México), to buy what I need for an oil change, and the clerck offered me an "additive"...

One of those "additives" were Lucas... "It will make last your engine four times more than normal... just use it every 4 oil change and thats is", the guys said.

Have you used in your own cars?, I asked to him... "Well... nor really, but sells very well"
