pics of x, snow, frozen lake ect..

Here are some pics of the X in the winter. I went out on the lake and saw these planes taking off from the lake, they had skis for landing gear. It was pretty sweet.

Cool, the lake I live on is frozen from December until April, but I've never seen any planes land on it; not in the winter anyway. Of course there's a regular airport just across the lake from me anyway. I've blasted along it on a snowmobile before though when it was 20 below!

I finally went snowmobiling for the first time this last Saturday, what a blast! We went for 6 hours and I can't believe how sore I am now. There is definately more to it than just hanging on! The planes were part of a winterfest celebration, they were giving rides for $20.00. I wish I would have gotten some video of them landing and taking off on those skis, it was pretty cool.

You know, I didn't realize it at first but my X does look black in all of those pics. I didn't have my camera set up correctly and the sun was messing things up. It is actually just blue!
