Nexterra outing...

Had a good turnout(for us) with 8 trucks showing up to run around the fire and access roads and other areas in October Mt. State Forest--largest State forest in Massachusetts(very tiny by Western standards) but a good time was had by all...We did encounter the first negative comments I have ever heard while out wheeling---We had a guy in a Chevy pulling some quads (who I guess thought one of us had broken down--I had gotten out to take a piss) who said "Thats why I buy American" and later as we passed a bunch of mountain bikers(who I would have thought would have been more progressive) say to us "Doesnt anyone buy a Ford anymore?" kinda irritated me but didnt ruin the day which was polished off with some pizza, burgers, calzones and a couple wobbly pops...

Another word for beer...that term was made popular around here by former NHL goon Lyndon Byers who used to play for the Bruins and is now on a radio station in Boston...maybe its a Canadian thing....

Maybe 20-30' tops...A few of us thought about it but didn't..Plus the landing looked like it would have hurt a bit..

Looked like it would be a nice ice climbing practice area if it freezes!! And the fog made it a bit interesting...you could hear the trucks sometimes but not see them even though they are only 100 yards away...

That place we stopped to eat at ruled..Awesome food,ice cold wobbly pops and a 13" plasma tv at each table..

Hell food + beers + watching an all day marathon of trucks = an awesome eating place..

Add in some wheelin' and you've got yourself a well rounded day.
