Does anyone have the correct part numbers for the Rancho RS9000 shocks for the 2000 X with a 3in suspension lift. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
There may be another Rancho one, but I have a 3" lift, and in the back have been using Rancho 9116, the 5-way adjustable ones for nearly 2 years. I like 'em.
Does anyone know the part number for the Rancho RS9000's for use on an X with the 3" suspension lif, and the 3" rear spring pack? My 9116's that came with the AC kit are now to short since I added the 3" spring pack. Any help would be appriciated.
SSR, just measure compressed and drooped, and call Rancho, they should be able to find the best shock to fit the situation. Your local shop should have a catalog, so it might be easier that way.

I don't have the part numbers handy, but I ran Rancho 9000's all around for a year. They don't have a listing for up front, but we measured compressed / extended and found some that worked just fine.
Actually Ian is right. I found that one out the hard way even though he tried to warn me. I ripped off a shock mount becuase of it.
*Granted this was on a Hardbody and not an Xterra.
[edit agian duh] Also I would recommend if you have the 9138, to to take the top bushing and put it down below(double up) to help out with the down travel. You will have to play with it when tightening it up to try and get "just right"
Yup, Ian's right about the length now that I think about it. I wasn't as anal about droop and articulation back then and hadn't lifted my truck yet. I was running the 9188's up front and 9118 in the rear.
I wouldn't trade my Bilsteins in for a lifetime supply of the Rancho's. Not only the length issue has been addressed but the valving is superior IMHO.
