Problems with 6cd changer

I just bought a in dash 6 disc changer off ebay. Its the double din model with RDS. I installed it no problems and the tuner works great but I can't load cds. I figured it would just pull the cd in like my old single disc did. Also when the radio is on and I hit the cd button nothing changes, the radio just keeps playing. Any ideas? Thanks,

You have to press the 'load' button to load the cd's.

If your radio is on and there are no cd's in the changer, it has no reason to switch. Get a cd into the unit first, then try changing from the radio.
