Saw this on ebay. The price is right, but I am a firm believer in "to good to be true" and "you get what you pay for".

you can buy it, try it out and let us know but think about how they can sell it for only $9.95 and pull a profit...you get what you pay for is right.

I think you've got it figured out already. After years of reading threads on XOC, it's pretty clear to me that all the add-on stuff does little for engine performance. The X's engine is what it is, and all the money and wishful thinking in the world isn't going to change that.

IMO, when people claim these items help their performance, their perception is helped along by the fact they just spent money, time, and effort installing it. They WANT to feel a difference...so they do. Put it on a dyno, then we'll talk.

But...playing devil's advocate, for $10 you have little to lose.

If you go for it, please let us know how it turns out.

This kit is not going to do you any good... well first of all it's not a intake kit.... you are just replacing the airbox with this filter and the little adapter is going to help you fit it..
the filter is a real cheap filter which i won't recommend using.. will do more harm than good...

one more thing once u get rid of the box and put the filter on.. you have to fabricate a bracket of some sort to keep the intake pipe secured..

Thanks for the advice... I kinda already knew not to waste my time or money on it, but it's nice to get re-assurance sometimes. I think I'll just pick up an Amsoil or K&N filter to pop in the stock airbox.
