farenheit 9007NW bulbs don't fit!? - 03/10/03 01:38 PM

hey, has anyone tried to install the Farenheit [sic] 9007NW headlight bulbs? i tried dropping them in a 2001 SE but the keying seems to be off. there's 3 slots cut in the bulb sleeve to fit 3 notches in the headlight housing, but one of the bottom ones doesn't match. wtf?

the '01 SE takes type 9007 bulbs, and crutchfield's vehicle matcher says they should fit.

i thought the suffix NW on the farenheit's part number was just a p/n detail. does it say something about the keying?

cheers,

Hmm I had a similar problem like this awhile back when replacing mine. When I went into the auto parts store I thought for sure that my 01 took 9007's and confirmed it with the dill hole behind the counter and his fancy database. I got home and started to install....I was wrong and so was his computer. 00 and 01's take a 9004

The 9007's are for the new style headlamps....hope this helps

yea, sorry but 02 is when 9007 started. Prior to that it was 9004.
