Snow in Crown King!!!!

I played hooky from work today and went up to Crown King to catch the snow while I had the chance.

It was awesome!!

We took the road towards Horsethief Basin and had to stop about mid way up because the snow was too deep to continue.

We got out to walk and found the snow came up to our knees in some places.


With all that snow we couldn't resist building a snowman.


All in all an excellent day, even Psycho Dog enjoyed herself.


Ya gotta go! C'mon it's only a hour and a half away.

Saturday run??????

I can't go again. I'll be enjoying snow in the other part of the state. Going to to some X-country skiing or Snowshoeing in Flag.

If you go, head up the front way through Bumble Bee. Not sure how the back way is, but from what I saw, it's probebly blocked by snow at the top. Senator Hwy is also blocked, so you will have to return the same way.
