Are you talking about the plastic becoming dull? If so you might want to try the "appearance" thread because there are some products to search from that can help bring back color.

I have the same problem but it doesn't bother me....I've seen a few older X's with the fading far worse than mine....

With my black bumper and nearly-black (against my dark blue paint) bug deflector, the grey grille just didn't look right so I painted it black with Dupli-Color Trim Paint after scuffing it up with 120-grit sandpaper.:

My grill is really quite badly faded on my 2000. The rest of the plastic bumper pieces are in real good shape, just this one spot on the grill that is practically a totally different color to the rest where it has faded.

Would take a photo, but the wife has the X today as her piece of crap Hyundai Elantra wouldn't start this morning. Took it to the dealer and they said 'Oh yes, there is a recall on the fuel pump' Nice of Hyundai to let everyone know! lol

Wow, there looks to be almost less than a 1/4" tolerance between your front 1/4 panel and the top of your ARB. I can't imagine all the offroading you must do, that the flexing doesn't cause the two to meet?..
I like your wheels.

That's a TJM, not an ARB, but that's understandable. Anyway, no problem in the middle, but the clearance between the fender and the side part of the TJM was a bit tight for that pic. I'm not shy about clobbering things with the TJM and a decent hit will shift it a bit and bring the sides up against the fender until I re-adjust it. Even with a good 1/2" or so static, on a washboard road or sometimes even with my lousy-balanced Swampers making the truck shimmy, I'll get some rattling between the two. Not a problem for me though.

Brent, the painting of the grille is something I was thinking of doing but on the 02's we have that snappy trim around the headlights.Do you guys think I should paint that as well?Or do you think they'll look ok un-painted???

Hey offroadx whats with the old pathfinder wheels? And that emblem in the grill with the orange 4x4 logo looks just like the one on my old 1985 king cab I had. I miss that truck.

Yeah, I got a lotta old-school Nissan stuff on my X (check the file name of the pic, OldSchool.jpg) including the wheels, that "Nissan 4x4" badge on the grille (came off an 87 or 88 Hardbody), and the lights on the bumper are genuine Nissan accessories for the late-80's Pathfinder/Hardbody too. I also have the horn button from the steering wheel of an 84 720 on my dash for my air horns:
