In the interest of fairness, vehicle stickers should also list fuel economy in cargo capacity per gallon. All these liberal assholes want to chastise people for driving vehicles with a low MPG. They never consider the fact that a low MPG vehicle will carry more than a high MPG vehicle, allowing less trips. For example, in the X I can carry 5 people plus load up the cargo area and make it all in one trip. Add on a trailer for even more cargo capacity. A hybrid can carry maybe 4 people and not much else. You'd have to make multiple trips to get everything where you need it to be. Looks like the X is the more fuel efficient vehicle. If they were really concerned about gas, they'd walk or ride a bike. Even a motorcycle would use less gas. The world would be much safer if everyone road a motorcycle.

The problem with that arguement is that most vehicles (cars/pickups/SUV's), regardless of size, are hardly ever loaded to capacity.
Look around at the other cars/trucks as you drive, I bet 95% have 2 people or less and little or no cargo. Even the SUV's
Just playin' devil's advocate.

So you pack your X to the hilt on every trip you make?[/b]You betcha. If I can carry it on my back, I take the bike. If it fits in the wife's car, we take it. If it doesn't all fit in there, we take the X.

Gets about the same gas mileage (or better) and can hold twice as much. So your numbers would be even better. I still don't buy it that you fill the Xterra to the hilt when travelling in it. Any space not filled is wasted gas, by your argument.

Well, not every cubic nanometer is filled, but the rear view mirror is generally useless when I'm driving it. I don't travel light.
