Sorry to see you go! Happy trails.
Let's see though, 80 miles, 3.53 gallons, that's 22.6 mpg! Wish I could get that much! But yeah, we're approaching $4/gal., it's gonna get real expensive, real soon.

I agree on the Chrysler, however I have a '98 Cirrus with 85K miles and it usually gets about 24MPG with my lead foot and 2.5L V6. Hard to replace when there's a lot of other cars that get less mileage, etc. that are newer. Plus it's paid for, but has seen it's share of abuse. Two rear-enders, T-bone and attempted theft. Then a GD Bodyshop that put the wrong sized knuckle on it. Anyways, hope your new ride gets you to where your going and back. ![[Wave]](graemlins/wave.gif)

Sorry to see you go. I rented a 2008 Mercury Milan recently and I was surprised at how nice it rode. I think if I had a long commute I'd be following in your path (..thankfully I work at home).

New to this forum... but I've been around.
June 2007 I traded my Frontier for a Corolla. I went from 20ish to 37 mpg. I drive a daily commute of 70 miles. Each day as gas gets more expensive, it makes my choice better.
I still miss the hell out of my truck.

i feel your pain. i drive 75 miles a day for work and it's pretty painfull getting a max of 16 mpg with these gas prices. i'm trying to buy a house soon and i know if i got rid of the X i'd have more money for the house, but i just can't bring myself to do it

Hmm. I don't have an xterra just yet. But the plan is take the bus for work, xterra for all the fun stuff. I'm not going to waste gas sitting in traffic. I'd much rather be listening to the ipod and reading/snoozing for my daily commute.

V6 Premier wasn't out of my price range by any means. The way I saw it was if I had to be stuck in a Milan type vehicle..it's going to get me the best gas mileage possible.
