I brought it in for first service

Well my Nissan dealer kept reminding me, about the important 1000 mile service. I asked them why, when Nissan reccomends first service at 3750. They said its just an oil change and filter, and want to make sure everything is tight and fluids are okay. Since I got the car, I have had a number of small problems(7 to be exact), and they kept telling me wait till 1000 mile service and take care of it. The service would be free. One problem was a blown fuse, that had been out, and I had been running with no tail lights for three weeks without realizing it. So I show up on the appointed day and time, relay the problems to them, and they immediately complain on why didnt I immediately bring the items in for fixing. I said your service contact said to take care of it at first service. They were very gruff about it. I get the car back, about an hour and fifteen minutes later, and said nothing was founded about my other issues, and the oil change was completed. I am not happy about the service. I know for a fact they didint check certain things, as I purposely left items in certain conditions to see if they were looked at. Example 1) Engine fuse box was left undone, and cover just left on top(To see if they actually looked at fuse I had to change)
2) Windshield reservoir cap was cracked from day one, I left it undone, and the service record shows, it was checked and nothing wrong. It was still off, when car returned, leaving me to believe never looked at.
Little things like this, leave me to believe, I was shortshrifted. Sometimes its nice to be able to talk with the mechanic for a minute directly as oppossed to talking to a service writer, who is not a mechanic, but just a keyboard inputter.
I will be bringing my x, to a different dealer for servicing next, and not the dealer where purchased. They have plenty of mechanic. s and bays and a clean shop, but I need to be able to trust that the service is looking at what I need to be looked at

In situations like this, it's not worth talking to the manager. He might agree, but he's not shadowing all the wrenches on the floor. I say vote with your dollars and spend them with another dealership. Life's too short to try help people learn how to do their job right on your nickel. What's funny about all this is that dealerships don't pay more attention to stuff like this. Really borders on idiotic. They should be FANATIC about good maintenance service because that's where they make their profit.

My dealers idea of how to fix a CEL is not to check/replace what is bad like a simple O2 sensor, but to just reset it. Only reason my X goes to the dealer is b/c the oil changes are free. And they always give me a list of what is needed and are very vague with the prices.

I leased my truck from habberstad a few years ago and they were pretty good with service. I had an issue the 2nd day I had her and they fixed it with no problems. Sorry you aren't having a good experience with them.

Followup to original post.
So today, I am starting to check out the car, because I am going on a short trip this weekend, which will entail about a thousand miles to be put on the vehicle. Since the car has been sitting overnight, a good time to check the air pressure. Wouldnt you know it, the valve covers were barely put back on. I guess habberstad checked the air pressure, but saves some time, by putting the valve covers on, with just one twist of the wrist. I could have easily lost one or more. What a piss poor way to do things. Also, no big thing but pressure was 36. I know for fact it was a perfect 35 when they got it. I also wished I had marked the oil filter, so that I would know for sure, a new filter was actually put on. I drove about two hundred miles since they did the change a few days ago, and it would be difficult to tell for sure, if it was original or not. No way to tell if the oil was done. Because of everything else, I am suspect of everything they tell me.
