#2140 - 25/10/04 11:34 PM Thank you XOC!

I've been reading on this sight for about 3 weeks now researching the xterra. Due to everyones enthusiasm, I have just recently bought a 2002 Xterra XC-SC. The only thing that I'm dissappointed about is the fact that it's only 2wd. The only reason that I'm settling for this is because this is the first sc that I've found in my area at a dealership that I could get financed at. Being a first time buyer and everything makes it hard to get a resonable rate. After a year, I'm going to trade it in for a 4x4, so for now, I can't be getting to crazy.

I'm only going to do a few mods to open it up a little. Your basic intake, exhaust, and 2.3" pulley. I haven't read anything about the reliability of the pulley yet, so I still need to research that before I make any moves on it. I might possibly get headers also, but I haven't decided yet.

Thanks again for all the information on the site!

Thanks! Nissan really bent over backwards to get me into the vehicle. Being a first time buyer sucks. I regret buying all my previous vehicles in cash now.

I'm waiting until the end of next year to trade in my 2WD for a 4x4. Gonna wait until I hear how reliable the 05's are first then go for an 05 when the 06's are shipping to the dealerships to save a little $$$.

So - Around this time next year, hopefully I'll be driving my shiney new 05 X. If the 05 turns out to be unreliable, then I might rethink that option!

Any links to the 05's???

Please say they're using the 3.5L that's in everything else.

BTW...day 4 of my xterra ownership= laugh

I can barely baby it without breaking the tires loose when it's wet out. I'm going to get into trouble if I don't get use to it quick.

That's right.

But just to be a nice guy, I gave you your first rating, a shiny brand spankin' new 5 trucks. Just remember where you came from dirtbag, and you'll do just fine 'round here..

[Wave] Welcome to XOC. Glad that you got an X. I too am the same. I orginally bought the X for my wife as I hated the thing and never wanted one but then I got it for her and then drove it for the last 2 weeks that I was in school and loved it. I am now waiting until next year about this time and will be trading up to the 4X4 as well. I too am going to be waiting for relability reports on the '05 as well. If I don't like it then I'll get me an '04.

[Uh Oh !] Yes Sir! I promise! laugh

Thanks for the shiny new toys!

UGH! I just checked my milage after my first fill up: 16.55 mpg! AHHH, lol, I'm use to my old four banger integra. Oh, well...it's still worth it.

I checked out the 05 post and I love the way it looks. I just scanned through it, so I didn't find any interior pics. I'm about to start doing a little research on it.

Aww, forget about waiting Dan! Let's just show up, get it, and let the warrantee worry about the rest. [ThumbsUp]

I barely got half that! My light was on when I strolled in the station and I think I was around 275 miles on the tank! [Crybaby]
