i would bleed the brakes which you already mentioned.
if you have 2 people its easier,(if you dont have a buddy to help with this process use a broom stick or a 2x4) but if you dont it can be done. i dont know if its the same as on a motorcycle, because i never had to do it to mine. anyways...
get the front end off the ground.(with wheel blocks and e-brake on)
remove both wheels
turn the steering wheel to the side you want to do first.
(i think it a 8 mil. closed end wrench for the bleeder vavle.)
pump the brake pedal five times. use either a buddy or a 2x4 to hold the pedal down.
release the bleeder valve (watch out cause its gonna fly)and then close it when the stream of brake fluid slows down.
i would do this twice to each side.
put everything back together, fill the brake fluid and take it for a spin.
