I have a 2004 Xterra and just ordered Sirius Satellite Radio. Where would be the best place to install the radio? Do any of you have it in your Xterra? If you do, could you provide pictures of where you mounted the unit? Thanks for your help!

Are you talking about the tuner, the portable units, or a new head unit?!?

I have the kenwood Here2anywhere portable tuner. I removed my asktray and mounted it there. I don't have any pics I don't think but can take some if you would like.

I put in a XM radio in my 04 X. The first one I bought was the portable kind with the FM modulator that you had to plug into the cigarette lighter. Had nothing but static with it. Took it back and bought the wired modulator type that is permanetly fixed. The tuner box sits behind the dash with the face mounted in the little cubby whole below the stereo and in front of the shifters. Comes with a remote also to tuning is not a problem. Works great and I never use my regular radio anymore.

I have a Kenwood HU with built in tuner controls. The tuner is secured under the passenger seat with velcro. The wire sneaks into the center console right by the seat rail. Don't even see it. No FM modulation, so sound is crystal clear.

I mounted the portable tuner at the bottom of the central dash area. There was a small little tray. I removed this and was able to mount the holder in this space. A little awkward at changing streams, but I love it.

I have a docking station in my office and a 50' antenna to listen while at work. They killed my streaming.....dirty IT guys.
