Ok ok, I know I should have had a lock and all that, but does anyone know how much I can expect to pay for a new spare tire for my 02 XE? Or what my alternatives are? I really don't care as long as it's round and more or less made of rubber.

that sucks man! maybe you can get the spare off a wrecked Xterra. Or maybe try ebay... Will your insurance cover it?

I'd bet if you looked around you could find the replacement rim for free - probably not the factory quality, but it's just a spare, right? And a tire for probably $10....

Try a big tire store, they probably have loads of one's they're planning to recycle.

Or try a used tire place. I'm sure you could find something for cheap.

Speaking of "theft", I just saw on CNBC that the Phoenix area is the number one place to have your vehicle swiped. Glad our new place will have a garage...
