From the searches I've done on here it looks like everyone that uses a speaker wire to RCA converter taps into the wires behind the radio.

I'd like to tap into the rear speaker wires in the back. Does anyone know what route they take to get to the rear speakers?

I'm not wanting to take the rear pannels off to tap into there as I'd probably never be able to put the pannels back on correctly.

to get to the speakers, you have to open the panels. It appears on my early '01 one pair of wires goes down each side of the truck.

Where on each side of the truck does it go down?
Is it under the side foot panels?
Is it under the carpet?

i have done this, and its really easy to get the pannels off, its just one screw and a bunch of pull tabs. once you get it off its a pice of cake to get back on. i used the converter cause i wanted to keep my fact head unit. just used about 1 1/2 feet of wire and ran it down to were that jack is. that way i have an easy way to get to it.

I saw the drivers side wires when I was running my CB wire.

Haven't pulled off the other side to look at them, but if needed you could run a pair across the rear top trim piece.
