Well! I almost have the system finished in the wife's car.
I just got done putting in the head unit AVX –P7300DVD
It’s a CD/DVD/TV tuner
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4023_37628,00.html

It motorizes out when the key is turned on

And I also installed the control unit AVM-P9000R(Dolby Digital/dts surround )
AM/FM tuner also
http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/product/detail/0,,2076_4023_33686,00.html

The amp went under the seat, notice the 4ga power & ground

There is a 10” Rockford Fosgate woofer.

There are Eclipse 6.5” in the doors along with tweeters in the front pillars,
I also put in a center channel speaker below the headunit
The 9000 brain has true Dolby/DTS digital 5.1 through fiber optic cable (6 channel)

All I have left to do,is upgrade the subwoofer amp and the rear speakers need to be upgraded. But I’m pretty happy with it now. !

(btw,I put it all in myself)

Looks fantastic!! I know that you have the front monitor wired so it will only work when the parking brake is on and won't show the picture when the truck is in gear. :p So I'm assuming that you did all the work yourself. Real clean install on the rearseat monitors. [ThumbsUp] I was thinking of doing an A/V install on the wife's Volvo but I am afraid to cut into the headrest. But yours looks top notch!!

What the hell are you talking about? Operating motor vehicles while talking on a cell phone and looking ahead (has been) proven dangerous, if you're taking your eyes away from the road (to watch a DVD), the chances for death or injury are magnified even that much more. California has banned the use of any kind of screen in the front seat of moving automobiles.

cal has'nt banned the use of front screens, the unit is supposed to be wired so the dvd and tv viewing can only be viewed with the parking brake set,the screen can still be viewed legally for cd and radio functions,(I do this stuff for a living) ,and btw,I guess I'm an outlaw driver now, because I wired mine so that anything can be viewed while driving, although I never install them that way for my customers.

That wasn't a shot at you it was at some smart ass!! [Finger] My understanding of CA laws is that it is illegal to be able to view the screen that is installed in the dash or elsewhere in the view of the driver, while the vehicle is in motion. I'm not going to question you and your knowledge of the laws that was just the way that I had interpreted them. It looks good no matter what. [ThumbsUp]

smile no prob, the thing is this, there is a wire on all the indash monitor units that is supposed to be connected to the parking brake switch, which when the car is in motion it still allows the cd and radio screens to be viewed & clock & menu settings, etc, etc,

just not the dvd source until the brake is set.

Thanks for the heads up. I even did a spell check so I wouldn't get flamed for being a dumb ass. laugh But I guess it turns out to be that I am!! I have noticed quite a few times that double posts are showing up. Anyways, I deleted one post and fixed the other.
