ok....i did do a search but never foun anything about this....

i have an 02 and its prewired for fog lights, but my problem is i really like the looks of the PIAA 510 lights, and they are only offered for the non-prewired X's. Is this a problem? can i still buy them? I also, dont want to wire them through a relay so they only come on when my headlights are on, i would like to be able to turn them off and on as i please. Any help, or pictures of your set-up or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

If you order the PIAA's, they will come with a switch and relay needed to wire them as you wish. I ordered the 525's and although they came with the switch, I bypassed it and wired them so they work with my low and hi beams.

There is no need to post a wiring diagram as your PIAA's will come with exactly what you are looking for.

If it is wired you can hook em up to the wiring. Clip the plug, connect black to black and the Black/Orange to what should be the white one.

Using that you can use the pre existing switch on the lever.

Check the AMPS, do not over load the fuses. I can not remember what the stock lights are in terms of amperage. And do not know what the 510 are for amperage.

I have a pre-wired Xterra, I'd like to buy oem foglights. Does anyone know if I can buy a switch and use the wires already there?? I'd like to be able to turn them on and off without the headlights. I know you can buy a replacement headlight switch, but tring to avoid that.... Thanks!

I know there's a way to Re-wire your OEM Fogs, for individual use...some have done it here....but if not, you have to just buy a extra harness and Re-wire it and buy the switch from xterraparts.com...

Hey Rickster43,

You understand what I am saying though right? I have seen that switch on xterraparts.com I want to use that switch with the pre-wired harness.

MrJonMan if you google for "Nissan Foglight Kit" there is a website that offers a different set of PIAA foglights that they recommend using if you're not going oem...
