i used kc hilights backup light system for mine. i decided i didnt want to use the relay, but instead just have them work off a switch.
i put the switch in one of the blank plates next to the dash dimmer switch.

as far as the switch goes, i went to the local hardware store and got it. i just had them drill a half inch hole in the cover to put the switch through. you just have to pop the dash off to be able to get the cover plate out. and if you need to know how to get the dash off, or get other panels off, just let me know cause i have the service manual and can send a page or two your way.
however, mainly the wiring part,i wanted to do by myself, just to get experience doing stuff like that. it turned out easier than i thought, just took a little while cause i was having different ideas about where to run the wires.
if you want the full thing to be done for you already, where you just have to run wires, check out a
coolkit. they come with everything you need, and you even get to choose the switch and things like that.
other than that, just do some searching, its how i found most of my information. good luck.
