Bet you anything the tester is trying to make the LR3 sound better than it is. If his Discovery really is "lifted, locked, regeared, bumpers, tires", then it should be better than the LR3 in everyway.

The simulated articulation would never match the real thing, and fancy electronics is still not as good as lockers.

Being IFS and IRS, you're pretty much stuck with stock ground clerance. The half axles would also cause you to loose an inch of clearance under compression.

The LR3 is more capable than other stock SUVs, but it's very limited when it comes to modifications, just like the new Range.

lets wait and see if it ever touches downs in moab or the rubricon....probably be leaking air a few minutes after crawling over a boulder....if it can even get 4wheels onto the boulder.

don't worry about the X not being on MT....the people that does the testing only wants to put out info that a soccer mom wants to hear about not what a 4wheelers interested in.
