Well he announced it finally. Michael is quitting Ferrari at the end of the season. Quite a sad day for me, Michael being my favourite driver since Ayrton Senna died. Luckily I had the opportunity to meet both of them in my lifetime, plus had the opportunity to work closely with the Arrows F1 team several years ago on a project when I worked at Microprose.

I personally will miss watching one of my heros race, there really is no other F1 driver currently out there that is nearly as exciting as watching Schumi drive. I doubt I will be waking up at 4:30am next season to watch the European races live.

Very sad to see him go, he is the greateest F1 driver no doubt and F1 will not be the same without him. Kimi will look good behind the "yellow horse" though Hopefully Schumie will win the final 3 races and go out the way he should...or Alonso will crash in each of them would be fine too.

Love him or hate him... you can't deny that he's been a huge part of F1 the last several years. The guy can drive. cheers to schumi and the next generation...

Bummer! I've been out of F1 for a few years due to career changes, moving, etc., but I was a huge fan of his from the beginning. Since Senna, I haven't seen anyone who could drive like Schumacher, and nobody can even come close when the weather turns to shit.
