I'm pretty sure it is a resonator. It comes off of the intake and doesn't really go anywhere. When I did my snorkel it came off and never went back on.

I took mine off and plugged the hole in the intake with a bottle cap. It is a resonator as was said above.

It goes down and under into behind the fender. If you peel away your wheel-well liner, you will find a 12" long box. I removed mine, as well as the resonator. Sounds better. I believe it adds 25 hp!

Resonator, one of three. Or as I like to call them, pieces of plastic that now take up space in my garage.

Would you ever put them back?? Originally posted by RocketX: Resonator, one of three. Or as I like to call them, pieces of plastic that now take up space in my garage.

Mines been off for a while. If you take it off make sure to seal up the hole to keep the water out.

I put a K&N FIPK intake on so all the stock plastic came out. Even without the intake, I would leave the resonators off. The only purpose they serve is to quiet the intake which I don't consider necessary or desired. However, as stated above, make sure you close up all the outlets tightly if you do remove them. PVC caps work pretty well on the different size outlet holes from the stock box.

You missed my point, why are you keeping them in your garage? I ditched mine soon after I had bought my X and tossed them right in the garbage. When I traded my X in they wouldn't even know to look to see if they were missing. Originally posted by RocketX: Originally posted by FSRBIKER: [b]Would you ever put them back??
