Practical? No. It's been a possibility for over 5 years, and I haven't heard of anyone actually going through with it to completion.
Worth it? The time and money needed can't possibly be worth the modest boost in power. You'd be better off just pulling a supercharged engine out of a wreck and swapping it in.

whats the difference between the engines???? maybe just fittings, im not talkin about the ecu or anything....just the basic difference between a 2001 v-6 3.3l and the '02 supercharged engine...

After careful consideration of your question, I have decided that the engines are, despite apparent differences, really the same engine...all the differences that would keep you from merely dropping the SC in in 5 minutes were bullshit....every one just made them up to be cruel to you.

Moon from your previous post I get the impression that you have the money to burn to do the swap. So why don't you just get a wrecked X and do a complete swap of everything then that supercharger that you got for "hella cheap" won't be wasted.

TJ was being sarcastic... please dont just drop int eh supercharger and expect it to work... even though we razzed you (which by the way you need thicker skin if thie thread offended you) we have all been around long enough to know that modding an NA to SC is more cost and time than its worth. Seriously... check those links we posted and you will see the work involved with it. New pistons/new ecu/engine harness etc etc. If you have the money and knowhow go for it... but for the love of god trust us when we tell you these things. If you post up that u put the SC on and shit dont work... no sympathy here. Just letting you know what you are getting into.

I think you might need the 02-04 X hood or a body lift too. I think i might have read that some where. Or im makeing it up. Or im not. if you do it, and r too lazy to do a bodylift or swap hoods, you should just cut a hole in your hood for the SC to stick out. that would be neat. then cover it with lexan and put some neon lights under there. bling bling yo.
