I have a 2004 with only 8000 miles on it. I may consider trading it on a 2005. My dealer, who I have purchased 5 Nissans from, has just what I want on the lot. Before I go back to discuss $$$$, what do you guys think is reasonable? My '04 is an XE with all the goodies, and auto trans. New '05 Xterra list price is $26K. My '04 is in excellent shape with no dings, scratches, or blemishes whatsoever. Thanks for your input!

I would stick with what you got. You just got that thing. At least wait until the dealers have better deals on them. They are way to new for you to get anything. Read my "05 OFF-ROAD TEST DRIVE" in the 2005 xterra section first. It'll give you a bit more info.

I guess it depends on how upside-down you are on your current X. If you can trade it in and get a positive value out of it, then it might be worth it for you, but if you're on the negative side, I'd say wait it out, pay down on your current model, and see what kind of incentives that Nissan might have in the future.
