I am interested in converting my 2000 SE 2X4 to CNG.

I live in the Netherlands where gasoline just jumped to 1.35 Euros per litre. Thats more than 6.00 dollars a gallon. CNG is only .44 euro cents per litre, a savings of more than 1/3 per tank. Note: at current costs, the cost of filling up my Xterra is about 80 Euros - more than 100.00 dollars!

Question is... does anyone know of any successful conversions of an Xterra from gasoline to CNG? If so what are the ramifications regarding power and engine wear?

Thanks

Haven't seen/heard of any X's being done. In general, CNG engines run a little hotter, so make sure your cooling system is up to snuff.

Other than that, there's not really any downside to it. AND, you get the bonus of being able to run upside down...
