ok.. found the problem.. Adjusting permission so all the fourms can be posted in by XOC members. Might take me just a little bit but some of the more popular ones are good to go now

I am only getting down to "regional club discussions" on page loads most times. Using FF 3.5RC1 though.... If I close or refresh several times, I get the full forums page....

Did ENCXC, don't see a CXC. I'll let Carlton add you to others if he would like.

One of the features of the old board that no longer works is the ability to lurk. Now you have to login to view many of the forums.

Is making a lot of forums "private" a good idea?

Wouldn't the board seem more open and inviting if everyone was able to at least read the forums (exceptions being MOD and Admin forums)?

Most users have always been lurkers for a while before signing up.

Just wondering.....

Should be a lot less private now. Just the fire pit and forum problem link, no sense airing our dirty laundry to the world, must be a member and logged in to see. smile

Carlton, I think you typo'd your email address in the Welcome area. Aren't you .net not .com?

You people in NCCX are a pain. Fixed. The only forums that are private are clubhouse (have to be logged in to see naked girls now, seems like a good idea to me- Carlton can change that if he wants), firepit, and problem.

Can't post images anymore? It just shows up as UBBCode and there is no option to post WITH code, only WITHOUT UBBCode/HTML.

I posted in the Suspension section: http://www.xterraownersclub.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=491077#Post491077

Can't get pics up...

Thanks!

OK you should be able to edit/delete posts, use UBBcode in every forum now. The ability to edit/delete lasts for 2 days, after that you can't. That's should be plenty of time to make any gramatical changes needed.

Odd one but with safari 4 the create a new post the actual post box is small, usually only 1 or 2 lines. I can stretch it out but its a little odd.

It was the same with Safari 3, and from others people's comments I think it's the same with other browsers ( I personally haven't tried it yet with anything else). I've yet to figure out a way to make it start bigger permanently.

User settable. For some reason the default profile comes that way. Change it in your preferences or switch the style to old_xoc which defaults to the normal american style of dates.

Day month year is correct, that's why it does it.

Safari sucks that's why it does that. Get a PC and quit using crapple.

Change the date format in your settings. There's a ton of options on the format. You have options because there is no one way that is "correct". Different strokes for different folks sort of thing.

Oh, and don't listen to Adam. He suffers from id10T errors, much like his PC. Granted, Safari isn't the BEST browser out there, but it's still much better (that is, MORE STABLE AND MORE SECURE) than IE/Windose, nor do you have to reboot a Mac like you do a PC. At least a Mac works and is reliable!

Hey Adam - PTHTHTHTHTHTH THIS is a better answer! wink

No no no.... wink I never have trouble out of PCs because I am a moderately intelligent person who doesn't F up stuff and click on every "You may have already won" link out there.

Apple is extremely expensive for what you get. It's the Hummer of the computer world. Their software is "Great attempt, but still buggy" and their fanbase has the potential for douchebaggery.

Safari is a CRAP browser. at least use Opera, or Chrome or something. even Firefox! I prefer Lynx.

And Day/Month/Year is correct. The rest of the known world and everyone with common sense in the US does it. When someone says the date to someone they use it.

Those of us who work for international companies do too.

Mom and Pop shops... not so much.

o.O people who use crApple never have id10t errors, It's always the computer. wink
