Hi All - I know we have a lot of creative Xterra owners out there. I have an 02 Shock Blue Xterra and I've been coerced by the wife and her friends to do a 'Trunk or Treat' in a few weeks. It is like trick or treating - except at the church parking lot with the kids going to each trunk for candy - and we're all trying to come up with cool themes, what with prizes being given for the best decorated trunk...any ideas that might be good for the back of an XTERRA? THANKS!

you could make a mini haunted house you have to walk through under your hatch. cover the "trunk" with black trash bag to make the 4th wall. insert appropriate bad guys in said trunk? BOO!!!

What ever happened to the fun of getting the $#!^ scared out of you on Halloween? Halloween used to be scary! Nope, can't do that anymore. It might "traumatize" them. Are kids nowadays too stupid to understand it was just for fun? That you see it for what it was, forget about it (after you punched your sister for doing it in the first place) and then go on with life?

In the effort over the years to make everything "safe", we've ruined a lot of things we used to be able to do just for fun. Now there's hand sanitizer everywhere you look to prevent the spread of "germs" (which by the way you NEED to be exposed to - don't get me started on THAT subject), helmets for everything you do (except maybe jerking off, well not yet anyway) and a lot of toys have simply been outlawed because they aren't "safe". As George Carlin once said, "Whatever happened to dangerous fun?" For God's sake, LIVE A LITTLE!

why not rig up a fog machine and get a big cast iron pot and have the wife dress up as a witch and stir it and add some green lights? and then you can dress up as a flying monkey and jump outa the back seat and scare the shit outa them. a wizard of oz kinda theme. or is that still a little to much for a church parking lot? maybe dress up as Jesus and put a cross on the top of the truck so you can haul it on the X instead of carrying on your back?
