Just curious what you have in your stock jack location if you have lifted your X. Also curious where to put this topic? I put it here because I moved my ARB compressor to that location. I used to have it mounted like this:

because I didn't have speakers back there and never thought I would again.

Well, I had a few days off of work and decided to change some things up a bit. (and put my stereo back in the X, driving with no tunes sux)

Took it out of there and put it...

There.

Had to trim the tray a little on the underside but nothing a dremel couldn't fix.

So what's in your's?

What compressor are you using? and have you had any locker spit in that location?

Just curious since I need to mount mine, and was looking at the same place.

I just put it there two days ago and haven't had a real chance to use it. I never noticed any fluid where it was mounted. In the jack location, it seems pretty waterproof or at least easy to clean up if it does spit.

Be carefull putting it there. It seems waterproof but if the seal on your rear hatch starts to leak that where the water will go. I had a mildew smell in mine for months and could never figure out where the water was tell on day I decided to look in there. Had 4 inches of water in the tub.

Nice looking work. I do have a question though. Why get rid of the jack? I mean I know that having a highlift is good on the trail for tons of reasons, but when changing a tire, or lifting the tire off the ground to reset a bead (which seems to be my main issue, I think I need to run a higher pressure when off road) I use the stock jack. It's just easier. When placed on the axle, instead of the body it works fine.
