looking for some ideas. 2003 is doins some weird stuff. Codes say change solenoid valve and knock sensor. Car occasionally has no power at all when I get in to start. No idiot lights, brake lights dome lights, Nutin!!!! Here is how it starts. I slam the driver side door once or twice. Any ideas from someone smarter than me.
The battery terminal checking mentioned is a good start, a loose connection/poor seal can do that, and a door slam can certainly trigger something like that.
I would also consider checking for a loose ground strap, there are several, including for the dash...a likely suspect.
