i finally put a new muffler on my 2003 X. i've never heard of the brand, it's "fora flow" or something like that. i forgot. i changed the tail pipe to 2.5" and i put a 3" tip on it. i think it sounds great, i'm pretty happy. total cost was $250 for pipes and all. now i'm thinking about an intake. any advice? does anyone have just a regular intake, or a cold air intake?

The only benefit you will notice with a cold air filter is the better throttle response. It will not give you better mileage. If you want a cold air intake, your better off just dropping in a K&N filter in the OEM airbox. You will get the same results for much less.

so you are saying that that "pop charger" will give me the same results as a cold air intake? only 4 more HP? surely i'll get more than that. i've read elsewhere that some people have gotten up to 26 more HP with a cold air intake. anyone have one?

Could'nt have said it better myself Dave. On a side note you may actually lose torque after an SRI or CAI install as well. Something to keep in mind.
