Thanks.

So basically all the shop had to do was weld the new muffler onto the pipe ..... and weld a hanger in the proper place on the flowmaster to take advantage of the stock hanger bracket?

I also take you are happy with the sound...performance?

The sound is throaty but not to loud where you can’t hear your radio. I had the pipe increased from 1” (stock) to 2.25” (custom). Very pleased.

Just got back form the muffler shop here in town. They cut out the old damaged muffler form my Calmini system and installed a Flowmaster 40 series in its place. I can tell a difference in the tone for sure.....just a bit deeper....just a bit more full bodied....very nice. I am hoping that with the upgrade in muffler I will see a slight bit of horsepower and mileage increase as they claim....not sure I will but we will see.

I did notice on the install they didn't make use of the stock hanger right above the muffler....they just welded it into place where the existing one was. Can this be a problem down the line with off roading I am going to have to watch?

The shop I took mine to, said that there shouldn't be a problem. If I had gone with the 3" pipes then that’s where you will run into problems. (clearance of brake lines to the pipe). Did they weld it at the bottom of the muffler like the one in the photo?

Oh no I think you misunderstood.....I was saying that with my install today the muffler shop didn't weld the stock hanger back onto my flowmaster like they did to your to make use of the stock hanger bracket. I was wondering if this was goin to cause a problem with my set up? I felt the system and the whole thing feels VERY sold.
