I pulled the codes, got a;
P0328 Knock Sensor Circuit High Input
P0740 TCC solenoid or circuit fault
The Chilton's manual shows that the knock sensor is under the intake manifold, so that sounds fun!
The torque converter control solenoid circuit thingy scares me a lot though...nothing in the manual about that. Help?

Unless you've got a SC, the P0328 you can ignore. Almost all non-SC trucks have this code. Not to worry on that one.

The P0740 needs more investigating though. I don't know much about that one, I remember hearing about it in the past. Can we assume you have a manual as well? A SEARCH tells me that this code is mostly for manuals. It's for the torque converter clutch solenoid. I also found there's a couple of causes for it, one of which is the cable assembly getting pinched between the TC and the body, or something similar anyway. Maybe someone else will chime in here and tell you something. But it certainly seems that it needs fixin'. Under warranty yet?

If you are getting a P0740 your torque converter is the issue. since it is a torque converter you have an A/T. could be just a bad solenoid, or a stuck valve in the tranny.

When was the last time that you had the tranny serviced?

Well stick me in the corner and color me stupid! We wouldn't have a torque converter on a manual, now would we?

(Sorry for the DOH!)...

WoW, How can I investigate this further? The Chilton's manual doesn't say "S" about this problem.

Did you try doing a search on here? That would be MY first place to start. There's several threads about it. If that doesn't help (unlikely), then I'd try HERE:

Just make sure to post back what you find so if anyone else gets this code, they have a reference to go to here...
