There are two irritating problems with my truck which aren’t critical enough to warrant paying a mechanic.
One is my heater blower which only works on high. Why is that? Has anyone else had this problem.
The other problem is the radio. It probably has nothing to do with Nissan X-Terra, or maybe it does. As long as I’ve owned it the FM radio on my truck would work fine for a few minutes then sound would stop and it would not work again unless the vehicle was off for a while then started again. I’m not a huge fan of FM so this didn’t bother me too much. This got worse and worse with shorter and shorted listening times, but the AM radio worked fine. Until recently, when the AM started doing the same thing! I can’t stand not being able to listen to conservative talk radio! Now I’m stuck listening to the CD player which still works fine. The radio is a Sony CDX-CA720X. Can anyone help me with this?

1. You'll need a new blower resistor for the fan it's a common issue.

2. On the radio - Dunno, probably something in the radio is getting hot causing it to shutoff. Best bet would be just swap it out with a radio you like.

1. The blower resistor is what allows the fan to run at less than full speed. That's why it works on 4, but not on the others. It's a simple fix. The part is fairly easy to get to and is about $10 IIRC.

2. The stereo - agreed it sounds like it's getting hot and shutting down. It may be easier to just replace it than try to figure out what's wrong with it and fix it. Then again, maybe it is the liberal spirits that are trying to keep you from listen to that conservative BS! It's not good for you anyway.
