Just lost power to my HVAC dials, only the highest setting works (4). 1,2,3 are useless. Anyone experience this or know a quick DIY solution, mine is going in for tires tomorrow so wondering if there were some trouble shoots I could try before (gulp) having my garage investigate it.

Thanks.

Had the same thing happen on my Chrysler Town and Country. They replaced the relay, but told me that it probably meant the motor was bad, and would I like to change it out to. Unfortunately I said no. 2 weeks later the relay went again. This time I had the motor replaced at the same time, and haven't had any problems since.

It is the blower moter relay, a quick easy fix, a lot of people do it in the parking lot where they get the part.

I'd say it is the blower motor resistor. They usually burn out due to a faulty blower motor that is drawing too much current. I'd reccomend replacing the blower motor and the blower motor resistor. The resistor is what allows you to have more speeds than "off" and "high". It's really simple how it works, the resistor restricts voltage to the motor, which makes it operate at less rpm, thus giving you speeds between "off" and "high". On "high" it does not route the power through the resistor, allowing the full 12 volts to the blower motor. Of course on "off" it doesnt route any power at all to the blower motor.

X2. I had to replace the resistor when I bought my X. I had the same symptoms. Problem solved!
