Okay, went to Wendys for lunch and my bastard workmate pretended not to have his keys so I would drive. We come out with our food and the rear passenger side tire is flatter than hell with some kind of sharp bolt sticking out of it.

We struggle for a while trying to see the notch to drop the rear tire. But other than that the factory jack and hardware did an amazing job. Tire was swapped out within 15 mins and we were back at work only about 5 mins late.

Cold Spicy Chicken from Wendys isn't as good as freshly cooked - I speak from experience here smile

Looks like the tire should be repairable as it was dead center tread.

Thank god you survived the ordeal, were happy with your jack, and philosophical about your chicken.

Tire Repaired - Good as new. Thank you to Gunnells Tire in Mesa. Free repair, plus they even hooked up the spare back underneath (I had just thrown the other tire in the back) and they packed the Jack and Tools away back under the carpet. Amazing.

So if you are ever in Mesa and need a good tire shop. Gunnels on East Main, just east of Central Mesa is deffinately reccomended.

If you are wondering why I even bothered posting this thread in the first place, which it seems TJ is by his sarcastic reply. My old piece of shit Chevy, the factory tire iron didn't even fit the lug nuts - To big. So we were turely screwed when we had to change a tire on that piece of crap. Plus the engine died at 65k miles after being services every 3k since new, so I was happy as hell that the Xterra gear did the job.
