Has anyone ever tried the Wheelskins steering wheel covers? They are supposedly leather and you can get them in eurotone (2 tone) as well. Anyone know if the yellow they sell comes close to the solar yello? I' thinking about ordering one next week. Just wanted to get some input as to the quality and color.

I have a black/grey one also. Matches the XE interior perfectly. I know, it's hard to believe I didn't get the yellow one. I think that might have been too much yellow if that's possible. ------------------ If love is blind, why is lingerie such a hot seller?Eric Konarske & Lara, my X '01 Solar Yellow XE 3 Pk. 4x4

I can't remember the name of the place I got mine, but there are probably more than 10 different places that sell them on the net. Just do a search for "wheelskins" on Yahoo or some other search tool. ------------------ If love is blind, why is lingerie such a hot seller?Eric Konarske & Lara, my X '01 Solar Yellow XE 3 Pk. 4x4

I just ordered a yellow/black one today from autotoystore.com. I called and talked to them, very nice. They sent the order in today and it will ship tomorrow. They charge $31.99 + $5 s&h. I actually called wheelskins before ordering to see how the yellow matches the X. They say it is a pretty close match and many have been sold for yellow X's. We'll see here in a few days.

I think they even take PayPal for payment. After I got it, I installed it, got down to two stitches left and realized there wasn't enough thread. Boy was I pissed because I had to take the whole thing back off after sewing it on. Anyway, the guy was very cool and sent me some thread immediately. I too recommend the place. ------------------ If love is blind, why is lingerie such a hot seller?Eric Konarske & Lara, my X '01 Solar Yellow XE 3 Pk. 4x4

I just wanted to thank you for recommending AutoToyStore.com for the wheelskin leather steering wheel covers.. We also do leather shift knobs and boots to match the wheel cover. Wheelskins just had a price increase, but I will honor the old prices if they just E-Mail us @ sales@AutoToyStore.com If the club members are interested in a group purchase let me know. Thanks again, Jim Huston

I ordered the AXX, but it doesn't seem to be the right size for the '01 XE steering wheel. I've talked to autotoystore and they were great! They've ordered a custom one for me (I gave them all the measurements of the wheel). I'll post how it works out ------------------ 2001 XE-3pk Auto Just Blue 4x4

Installed my yellow/black wheelskin on Friday. Looks great w/solar yellow. Took me about 1-1.5hrs, took my time to get a good install. The install was fairly easy, just be patient while sewing. I'm very pleased with the upgrade. I would post pictures, but I do not have access to a digital camera right now.

Hold up, before I got and order something, what's the verdict? Is AXX the right size or not? Nobody else seems to be complaining, how come one person had to get a custom made one?

When I started to sew it, I noticed a gap of about 1/4 inch at the bottom (thickest part) of the steering wheel. So, not being familiar with how it should fit, I called autotoystore and asked if that was normal. Maybe it's just me...if others are happy, go ahead and order it. Like I said, I'll post results this weekend. ------------------ 2001 XE-3pk Auto Just Blue 4x4
