In HI range, the automatic has 4 gears, and in 4th gear you can maybe get to 100 mph.
In LO range, the automatic has 4 gears, BUT the gear ratios are much lower, therefore meaning that in 4th gear you will only get a top end of about 45 mph.
When you use LO range, I would suggest to NOT leave your gear selector in 1st gear. Leave it in Drive, and the transmission is smart enough to know when it needs to shift. Leaving it in 1st gear is taking a chance of overrevving the motor.
