I'm thinking about doing this trail this Saturday. I'll probably drive down to the area Friday night and either camp or stay in a motel and then head out early Saturday. Has anyone been out that way recently? This wil be my first backroad excursion, so is there anything I need to know about the area?

I'm gonna cross post this with the North CA Forum, since this is sort of in Central Ca.

Last Chance is about 20 miles from my house.

Haven't been there in a while... hell... I haven't been offroad in months. Shoulder is messed up and offroad driving just makes it hurt.

Otherwise, I'd be all over it.
