How To Bleed Air From Cooling System?

I've been told that on certain vehicles the filler neck on the eradiator is not the lowest point in the cooling system, which can introduce air pockets when changing coolant. Has anyone ever heard of raising the front of a vehicle, to allow air to escape, while filling with coolant? Thanks

Most vehicles if they are prone to having Bubbles then there will be a bleed off port. I never heard of jacking the vehicle to keep from getting bubbles, but what does work for me, is to get it as full as possible and if your radiator cap is functioning properly, keep an eye on your coolant reservoir as it will maintain the proper level in the radiator if it doesn't get sucked dry.
If we are talking about a Gen1 X then I believe there was a bleed port on or around the T-stat or manifold. I don't remember and I have a Gen2 now, so no help there.
Good luck!

Are there ANY scenarios where the filler neck IS the lowest point in the cooling system? And, even if it were, air goes up in water...so the highest point would be more useful than the lowest point anyway. Its not typically a problem.

Which cars or truck dont have the filler neck at the highest point?. Ive never saw one. Bubbles tend to rise, hench the high filler neck.

yeah - there's an air bleed screw on the intake manifold near the PCV valve.... works great.

Cold. Very cold.
I think the regular owner's manual describes the procedure under flushing and replacing the coolant. IIRC, you open the bleeder and then add coolant through the radiator neck till coolant starts oozing out the bleeder.
