the boot around my front axleshaft ujoints has started to slip when i am in 4wd. it will catch on something, start to spin with the shaft, then the tension will pop it back into place. it looks like i can retighten the hose-clamp type thing around the wheel end of the boot and end the problem...anyone else dealt with this? suggestions?

Are you talking about your CV boots? If so, tighten away as soon as possible before too much dirt gets in there.

Yeah, just tighten up the clamps a touch. Not too much! Like Rumpy said, do it soon. You don't want water or other funk in there.
