hi folks, just wanted some feedback on upgrading my stock tires & wheels on my 2001x. how big on size without trimming the flaps & what wheels would you recommend. just looking for something cool. i can sell my old wheels off the x to someone if they wnat to make me an offer.

Hey Peavey... if you don't start searching someone's gonna yell at you... but I'll answer your question first... assuming you have 15 inch wheels, the 265\70\15 should be the largest with no trimming... you should be able to go to a 31x10.5x15 with MINIMAL trimming... hope this helps, and start using the search funtion! FWIW, I went 31x10.5x15 and I had to trim the "mud flaps" in the front a little. My X is lifted though, so you will probably need to cut a little more. In any case, at that size the rubbing comes when the tire is turned AND punched down. Well, on mine it was anyway.
