Wats up guys, I'm new to the forum and am looking for a some suggestions. I live in Florida but go to school in Connecticut. I'm takin my X up with me next year and need to get new tires. i kno im going to need "all-weather" tires for the snow in winter, but i was also looking to get bigger/thicker tires. Any ideas as to wat i should get/where to get em/how much it'll cost?
Thanks,

-Pat-

without knowing a few things it is really hard to give suggestions about what you should get.

1. are you going to wheel?
2. what are you wheeling in ie sand, rocks, mud, malls?????

3. are you planning on a BL? or at least a PML, as it can have a real affect on the size tire that you can fit.

tires are all about compramise, more money better wear, more agressive tread better offroad not as good on road, so on and so forth.

Looks like he's got a 4x2, so probably not looking to mod like a 4x4 owner would.

I'd look for a good set of OEM-size or one size larger all-season tires. You probably don't need something as agressive as a BFG AT or Bridgestone Dueler AT. Check tirerack.com for a good selection.

Hi!

laugh

Sounds like the age old..."I want taller fatter tires, what should I get" question.

Of course, we don't know his rim size, or anything like that...and, some guys with 2wd wheel the piss out off them, etc.

laugh

I'm wild guessing...16 x7 rims...

If he is not going to wheel I would say the Bridgestone Revo's. More street oriented than offroad, but good enough for trails.

For daily driving and NE snow I would get the BFG AT KO's.

or a much cheaper alternative to the BFG's are the General Grabber AT2's if u want that aggressive of a tire that handles well on the road
