Anyone have these tires? I just saw them today and was wondering if they were comparable to the other "name brands"...

Are you talking about the Futura Enforcer MT?? One of the persons in my club runs these, and he's very happy with them. IMO for they price, you can't do wrong. Those are probably the tires I'll be getting for my X when the time is right. I know that PepBoys passenger car tires are made my Cooper, but I forget who manufactures the LT series. I'm going to say BFGoodrich, but don't hold me on that.

Hope that helps any

Yeah, those are the ones I was looking at today. I have no idea who makes them either. They appear to be a nice looking tire. I don't know if it comes with all the goodies like the A/T's. And you are right, the price ain't bad for us po' folk.

The Futura is made by Cooper but also by Bridgestone/Firestone in the OK City Plant. If you get the first two digits of the DOT code I can tell you for sure. The BFS plant in OK City plant has a code of HY. This plant was certified by Bridgestone in 1995 to their build quality standards and has nothing to do with recall tires. They build lots of different brands their including Bridgestone. They had to spend a ton of money to bring the plant up to their level of build quality. I have been there several times. It is an amazing place. And for some reason very clean.

I bought some Futura Tires from Pep Boys, which are the Dakota RVT. The size are 30x9.50R15.

Just wondering if these are the correct size, and if not would I have problems with the ABS light coming on?

Thanks,

So, what is the difference with the BF Goodrich tires of size P265/70R17 that come standard on the Xterra's and the Futura's that measure 30x9.50R15 or 30x10.0?

You'll actually have to look that up.

I don't know Futura's and if they run true to size.

a BFG 265/70R15 = 29.6" OD by 10.4" section width. The BFG described as a 31x10.5R15 actually has an OD of 30.7". It will depend by manufacturer what the actual OD ends up. Not many of them (if any) are exact.

I have them, decent tire for the price ($94). They last a long time because the rubber is hard.

The 265/75/16's are 32.0 X 10.1 according to the web site. (What I have). They wont rub at all with only trimming and mud flap removal, even before I cranked up the torsion bars.

Thanks for the responses!

Guess I have a good tire on my Xterra! Will have to try mudding with them and see how they handle.
